Last week, Miss Robinson had the very special opportunity to travel to Lourdes with the HCPT, visiting one of the most important and sacred places of Christian pilgrimage.

Lourdes holds deep significance as the place where Mary appeared to Saint Bernadette 18 times. During these apparitions, Mary entrusted Bernadette with several important messages: to build a chapel, to invite people to come together in procession, walking and praying as a community, and to dig and drink from a spring, which became a powerful sign of healing, hope and faith.

Each year, millions of people journey to Lourdes seeking healing, comfort and renewal. The presence of the candles, the healing water, and the quiet stillness of the grotto all serve as gentle reminders that light can shine even in darkness, and that hope can grow from the smallest of beginnings.

On Miss Robinson’s final evening in Lourdes, she took time to light candles and hold many people in prayer. One of these candles was lit especially for the community of St Charles School, carrying with it our hopes, prayers and intentions.

A beautiful reminder that even when we are far from one another, we remain united through faith and prayer.
