Year 5 Visit to the Houses of Parliament – St Charles Catholic Primary School, Spennymoor
Last week, Year 5 pupils from St Charles Catholic Primary School in Spennymoor had the opportunity to visit London and the Houses of Parliament. With an early start, the class met at Durham Train Station before travelling to the capital city. Once in London, pupils travelled by red bus directly to the Houses of Parliament to take part in a tour and workshop. The pupils’ excellent behaviour on the bus was noticed and commented on by a member of the public.

Last week, pupils from St Charles Catholic Primary School set off on an exciting residential adventure to Derwent Hill in the Lake District near Keswick. Travelling alongside our friends from St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, the children shared a coach journey that quickly helped them come together as one group. By the time they arrived, they were ready to enjoy a few days of challenge, teamwork, and unforgettable experiences.
St Charles Smashes the CAFOD Big Lent Walk Challenge!
This week, St Charles Catholic Primary School in Spennymoor turned purple with pride as the whole school came together to take part in the CAFOD Big Lent Walk Challenge. And what an afternoon it was! With the weather staying beautifully fine and bright ????️, every pupil and adult put on their walking shoes and set off around the school grounds. The challenge set for the day was a big one — 200km

St Charles Catholic Primary School in Spennymoor was delighted to welcome Go Well back into school for another fantastic day of silent discos! Pupils across the school enjoyed listening to their favourite tracks, showing off their best dance moves, and having plenty of fun—all while wearing the very fancy wireless headphones that make silent discos so special.
