Spennymoor, County Durham – Pupils from St Charles Catholic Primary School experienced an unforgettable moment as they showed their support for football legend Jill Scott during her Sport Relief challenge. The school community came together to cheer on Jill Scott, also known as JS8, as she ran through Spennymoor on her way to Sunderland. The pupils lined the route, offering encouragement and enthusiasm as she passed through the town.

Year 5 Visit to the Houses of Parliament – St Charles Catholic Primary School, Spennymoor
Last week, Year 5 pupils from St Charles Catholic Primary School in Spennymoor had the opportunity to visit London and the Houses of Parliament. With an early start, the class met at Durham Train Station before travelling to the capital city. Once in London, pupils travelled by red bus directly to the Houses of Parliament to take part in a tour and workshop. The pupils’ excellent behaviour on the bus was noticed and commented on by a member of the public.
