Pupils, families and staff at St Charles Catholic Primary School in Spennymoor came together for an unforgettable afternoon of fun, laughter and vibrant colour at the recent Friends of St Charles Colour Run.
The event proved a huge success, with participants of all ages taking part in the lively run, which saw the school grounds transformed into a kaleidoscope of bright colours. Smiles were everywhere as children dashed through clouds of powder paint, creating a joyful and energetic atmosphere that captured the spirit of the school community.
Organisers expressed their heartfelt gratitude to everyone involved, praising the incredible support shown by families, volunteers and supporters. “A huge thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to making this event such a success,” they said. “It was a fantastic afternoon filled with laughter, fun and plenty of colour – lots of it!”
The event would not have been possible without the dedication of volunteers who helped organise and run the day, ensuring everything went smoothly and safely. Their efforts, alongside the enthusiasm of those who attended, helped create a memorable experience for all.
Photos from the day captured the excitement and joy shared by the community, offering a colourful snapshot of an event that will be remembered fondly by everyone involved.
The Friends of St Charles hope the Colour Run will continue to inspire community spirit and bring people together in future events. As organisers put it, “Let’s keep the spirit alive and continue to spread joy in our community.”
