The community of St. Charles School
believes that Jesus is at the heart of everything we do.
We are committed to giving every child, every opportunity to achieve their potential
in mind and body in a happy, safe and caring environment.
At St Charles Catholic Primary School, we strive to ensure that every child receives a rich, broad and balanced curriculum underpinned by both Gospel Values and our Mission Statement ‘to give every child, every opportunity to achieve their potential’.
We provide a curriculum that meets the needs of our pupils which is enriched by our Gospel Values, and by using the outdoor environment, the school and local community.
We meet statutory requirements by delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum, National Curriculum and RE curriculum as set out by the Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle.
We firmly believe in a curriculum that promotes the holistic development of the individual child, and place great value on mental health and well- being. We incorporate the Personal, Social, Emotional and Citizenship Education and the promotion of spiritual, moral, social and cultural education in order to ensure that our children develop the knowledge and skills they need to excel, and become creative and curious citizens of the 21st century.
